At Indexus we are focused on delivering highly innovative and affordable solutions to the decentralized primary care laboratories that will dramatically increase access to much needed advanced in-vitro diagnostic testing for the patients.
Our flagship platform, the Indexus TriSense Dx system, currently under development, is an easy-to-use, compact, low-cost multifunction blood analyzer capable of performing automated hematology analysis, cellular immunoassays, and bead-based immunoassays on demand.
Indexus is funded by NIH (SBIR), NC Department of Commerce, North Carolina Biotechnology Center, and Angel Investors.

LEADERSHIP
Founder-CEO
Chiranjit Deka (Chira), founder and CEO of Indexus Biomedical Inc., has over 20 years of experience in the IVD and biotechnology industry. An entrepreneur, innovator and commercial product developer, Chira has developed technologies and products in flow cytometry, hematology, immunoassay and molecular diagnostics. Prior to Indexus, he served as Vice President of Product Development at Advanced Liquid Logic (acquired by Illumina in 2013), Sr. Director of Engineering at Peoples Genetics Inc. (acquired by Beckman Coulter in 2003), and Head of Hematology Systems R&D at IDEXX Laboratory. Earlier he was with Beckman Coulter’s hematology division in Miami where he led the development of several new hematology and flow cytometry technologies for clinical diagnostic and life sciences research, and with Los Alamos National Laboratory devloping new flow cytometry technologies. Chira has written successful SBIR and other technology research grants for different companies leading up to over 3.25 million dollars in total awards.
Greg Ryan has over 20 years of business development, financial consulting & management experience. Prior to joining Indexus Biomedical, Greg worked for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Acquisitions, Technology and Logistics where he helped develop financial management and accounting policies for the Department of Defense (DoD). He has consulted for the North Carolina Military Business Center where he helped NC companies navigate and maximize business opportunities with the DoD and federal government. As an entrepreneur, he launched a successful local service company in Durham, NC that continues to thrive in the regional health and fitness market. Greg manages Indexus Biomedical's finances, oversees the administration of the company's government sponsored research programs and manages the company’s overall administrative operations, including HR. He is a graduate of Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and is a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Marine Corps Reserves.
Jay earned his PhD in Pharmacology and postdoctoral fellowship training in molecular biology from Duke University Medical School. Jay has extensive experience in cell and molecular biology research and serves as the research and technology development lead focusing on reagent and assay development for the Indexus-H5F system. Jay is an expert in the design and development of reagents and methods for bead-based multiplexed immunoassays, automated hematology 5-part differential assays, and cellular immunophenotyping assays.
